A Snowmageddon Rehearsal

A snow storm snowmageddon was on this day and New York City found itself shut down early due to inclement weather.  We hope to see everyone at the next rehearsal. Horrors of Cocaine @ Theater for the New City

We are pleased to announce that Horrors of Cocaine is to be presented at Theater for the New City, February 19 - 22, 26-28, March 1. And that Horrors of Cocaine Facebook event invite reads something like:

Theater for the New City presents "Horrors of Cocaine" written and directed by Carla Cubit. 

"Horrors of Cocaine: What cocaine made me do for seven years", is based on the ebook Horrors of Cocaine. The Horrors of Cocaine chronicles the life of a Kansas City, Missouri woman addicted to cocaine for seven years. After starting a cocaine habit at her job, a Missouri woman loses her job and her life of the American dream begins to unravel as she encounters crime, theft, prostitution, homelessness, psych wards, hospitals, and other activities as a result of her addiction to crack cocaine. Part I and II in a series of an unfinished novel.

The production features the following cast:
Alisa Lova, John Cordero, Paula Andrea, Brian Fender - Shirley, Jason Daunno, Miyuki Kumamoto and Jennifer Dong

The production runs from February 19 - March 1, 2015, Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. at Theater for the New City, 155 1st Avenue (10th Street), New York, NY.

Yesterday's Rehearsal

Okay. And so those above photos are actually from yesterday's rehearsal as I type this blog post.  And I thought to post those photos of  Paula and Jason from yesterday's rehearsal simply because hey, it seems like those photos wanted to be posted on this blog for that Horrors of Cocaine play.  Looking forward.

@ A Horrors of Cocaine Rehearsal

Hi everyone. It's been a few days since I last posted on this blog for that Horrors of Cocaine play to be presented at Theater for the New City February - March, 2015. And we're still here, revising and rehearsing the play in time for those Horrors of Cocaine performance dates. And the next rehearsal for Horrors of Cocaine is tomorrow. We are looking forward.

A Horrors of Cocaine Workshop

And so there was a Horrors of Cocaine workshop at Theater for the New City today in the arctic cold weather and all. And there was a Horrors of Cocaine workshop at today's rehearsal simply because some of the actors from last nights Horrors of Cocaine rehearsal wanted to workshop the play for many a multiple reasons. And so we, the actors who showed up today were @ a Horrors of Cocaine workshop. The next rehearsal for Horrors of Cocaine will be at Theater for the New City, that theater that finds itself in the city of New York, Monday, January 12th, 2-6pm.  And whether this rehearsal will be a rehearsal or another workshop remains to be seen.  And Horrors of Cocaine is to be presented at Theater for the New City February 19th - March 1st. Looking forward.
